Future You
Through Future You, Gateshead People Can Find Their Wings...
Future You is a project involving Gateshead Council, Citizens Advice Gateshead, Age UK Gateshead, Youth Focus: North East, 2 Way Tenancy and Connected Voice. Funded through The UK Community Renewal Fund is a UK Government programme for 2021/22. This aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK to pilot programmes and new approaches to prepare for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It invests in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment.

Who Is Future You for?
The full Future You programme is available free to any Gateshead resident who needs help with their next steps towards employment. We know that means something different to everyone, and the Future You Programme provides something for everyone: work experience, volunteering opportunities, training, qualifications, and help to work out where to go next.
The programme, is for people who need new skills, work experience, qualifications, or just someone to talk things through so they can start making progress towards employment, Future You offers all that and more.

Whether they're 60 or 16, they can talk through their plans and get the help they need

They can try out youth work, call centre work, care work or retail to see if it could be for them

Home Ready - Pre-Tenancy Skills Project
2 Way Tenancy Solutions is running a 6 weeks pre-tenancy training in partnership with The Gateshead Housing Company – funded by the Big Lottery. The programmes aim is to equip care leavers and other young people who are looking to set up their own home for the first time, with life skills to manage their home and manage their money.
The training will help care leavers and young people in Gateshead to deal with paying rent on time, budgeting and managing bills and much more, giving them financial control and money management skills.

Financial Capability Programme
The project is aimed at hard to engage tenants threatened with homelessness. We work with them to increase their financial capability skills and equip them with the knowledge to maintain and sustain their tenancies. We also aim to improve and increase their pre-employment skills.

Big Energy Saving Network Champions
2 Way Tenancy Solutions is currently working in partnership with Citizens Advice delivering the Big Energy Saving Network programme. If you are struggling with your energy bills and need help to understand energy and make savings please contact us here and we will come out to you for one to one session.
Our Mission:
To prevent homelessness, increase financial capability with tenants and support landlords in avoiding costly evictions with a view to maintaining sustainable communities.
Our aims and objectives are to prevent homelessness caused by the inability to pay rent by tenants and by a need to avoid an increase of rent arrears by landlords.
Importantly we aim to work with clients to ensure they achieve their financial confidence.
